ASOS Marketplace, no more Angora

If you've read my blog before you may be aware I'm into cruelty free products where ever I can use, I don't think it's right that I should be spending my money on animal abuse, which by the way is part of what you pay for if you buy animal tested products or wear things like fur. Recently I've heard a lot about the abuse rabbits suffer for angora, you might've heard about it or you might not even know what angora is, for those of you who fall into the latter category it's wool make from the fur rabbits. You might imagine that the rabbits would be cut like sheep for this, however in a peta expose which recently went viral rabbits where shown to have fur plucked from their skin while being held down and squealing in pain.
Today I received and email from ASOS marketplace, above, to say they have banned angora and other rabbit fur products, they join a host of other high street retailers including Next and H&M to remove angora from their shelves.

While on the subject of ASOS Marketplace I also thought I'd let you know I'm selling on their website currently, most of the clothes for sale have only been worn once and I've just knocked down the prices of most and I will be adding more item soon. If you'd like to check it out you can click the ASOS marketplace button in the sidebar. Also all of the money from items I'm selling on Marketplace for the next few month will be going to fund a volunteer trip I'm taking to South Africa next summer to work with a wildlife vet so you'd also be helping me out a great deal as well as getting yourself some lovely new clothes.

What are your views on angora fur?
